We are encouraging everyone to make reservations for summer camp:
At the Petaluma KOA ASAP while there are still spots available. Cancellation policy is very reasonable. You can make a reservation today and cancel within 7 days.
This year‘s annual summer camp will be Thursday, July 20 through Wednesday, July 26. There will be lots of social activities and all cyclists will be accommodated with different ride distances. For our working members, there will be full days of riding Friday through Monday so members can enjoy 3 or 4 days of riding with only taking 1 or 2 days off.
At the KOA, there is a central “kitchen“ area with four barbecues and multiple sinks. This will be our gathering spot each afternoon for our Post-Ride Happy Hour and a couple of Potlucks.
The Petaluma KOA is a wonderful location for starting and finishing our rides. They have accommodations to suit almost everybody. The accommodations include: cabins, RV sites with full hookups, tent camping, showers etc. However, this location is quite popular. We are encouraging KOA reservations to be made ASAP.
If you use your KOA discount card or purchase one for $33 you will get a 10% discount.
There are also other campgrounds, hotels, and motels in the area.
Please register for Summer Camp as this significantly assists in the club’s planning. There is a $20 registration fee which pays for SAG gas. You can cancel at any time but the registration fee is non-refundable and will be considered a donation to SFCC.
Ride Details:
Arrival and departure days will have a 25-35 mile ride scheduled.
There will be five core days with two scheduled rides per day, a 35 to 45 mile rides and a 55 to 65 mile rides. Additionally, these five days will have routes available for 25 to 35 mile rides. The five core days are Friday through Tuesday.
